Seems like the big thing in these parts are bumping songs and hoping they become popular. I was wondering which song you bumped are giving you the best return on investment for the bumps you gave them. I am very conservative about spending my points, and tend to bump cheaper songs or songs that I think have some kind of hit potential.
That all said so far the songs that give me bonus points for everytime I log into The SixtyOne are the following:
1. Paradise - Ana Laan
2. Bruises - Chairlift
Those 2 I get extra points almost every day I log in. They only cost me 5 points each time I bumped them. I was wondering if songs that you bumped that were more expensive are giving a better return on investment?
Surely first bumping and getting a song to the home page probably gets the best payoff. However that seems to be such an expensive hit or miss proposition.
Any NEW Meiko song will give you a lot of points if you bump early. I bumped Maybe Next Year 8 times and I've received 654 pts so far. I get points every day for that one. I also FIRST BUMPED another Meiko song: Under My Bed (9x at tons of points) and I have 694 pts to date.
Blessid Union of Souls - Hey Leonardo (bumped 1x at 50 pts) received 309 pts to date.
Marilyn Manson - If I was Your Vampire (9x) - 380 pts to date.
Best return for my points? Katy Perry - I Kissed a Girl. First Bumped once at 62 pts and then 4 more times at 5 pts - 650 pts to date and still adding up daily.
The most points I've received to date for any song is 684 pts. for Yes We Can Mix - Part 2 by DJ Green Lantern and Russell Simmons. I first bumped it when it had only 30 bumps and I don't remember how much it was per bump, but it was probably close to 40 pts. per bump.
The 3 Shannon Hurley songs that @Scrivener demanded suggested we bump have earned over 250 points per song so far!

I'm still getting good returns from both Ana Laan and Chairlift. Nothing spectacular but a little something from them just about every other day. Other songs I am lucky to get points from even once a week. I favored one Shannon Hurley song but can't remember if I bumped it. I guess I should find those Katy Perry ones too. They are still near the top of the charts on other websites such as iTunes.com and Amazon. Obviously people like "I Kissed the Girl" and "Hot and Cold".
